In either case, security is probably already at the top of your concerns, not only because of the cost of a breach, but also because the reputation of your company is at risk when customer data is lost or exposed to criminals.

As we observed a rapid increase in security incidents in breaches in the past year, we wanted to find out from IT security professionals who they think is behind these APTs and targeted attacks aimed at both companies and government entities.

As it turns out, 61% of CISOs perceive competitors as the main interested party that would target their organisations for corporate or industrial espionage, while a small minority are not even concerned with APTs.
