Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) emerged as a complement for prevention-centered Endpoint Protection solutions to monitor endpoints and uncover suspicious activity.
It provides early detection capabilities and the tools to enable organizations to fight off cyber-attacks. What most EDR solutions fail to deliver, however, are analytics and event correlation capabilities that go beyond the boundaries of a single endpoint to detect complex attacks affecting multiple endpoints at the same time.

Starting July 2021, Bitdefender enhances the EDR product family to enable customers to deal more effectively with complex cyber threats. The new cross-endpoint correlation technology, known as eXtended EDR (XEDR), takes threat detection and visibility to a new level by combining the granularity and rich security context of EDR with the cross-endpoint event correlation of XDR (eXtended Detection and Response).
Through XEDR, Bitdefender enables you to focus extended detection and response where it matters most – the endpoint (client, server, cloud, on-prem).
